Try it without a server. The app includes a short comic of its own. On the add-server screen choose Read the guide, or if you have already added a server, open Sources → Add the guide.
What do I need?
Either a Komga server, or any SMB share on your network — a NAS, or a shared folder on a Mac or PC. Panel reads CBZ, CBR and PDF.
My server is not found
Check that the Apple TV is on the same network, and enter the address exactly as you would
in a browser or Finder — for Komga including the port, usually :25600. If the
username or password is wrong the app says so specifically rather than reporting the server as
unreachable, so the message tells you which of the two to fix.
Covers are missing
On an SMB share a cover is the first page inside the archive, so it is fetched only for the books you scroll to and kept afterwards. The first look at a large library fills in gradually and is instant from then on.
How does the panel view work?
Panel finds the panels on each page and moves through them one at a time in reading order. Press up for the whole page, down to go back to panels. On a page where it cannot find panels confidently, it shows the whole page rather than guessing.
My manga reads the wrong way
Open the series and use Reads · Right to left. The choice is remembered for that series. Komga usually reports this itself; a plain share cannot, so you set it once.
Is there a subscription?
No. One purchase, no subscription, no advertising, no account, and no data collected — see the privacy policy.
